ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 30-minute lunch break
\n• Every-other-weekend requirement (weekend shifts for nights are Friday/Saturday/Sunday ; days are Saturday/Sunday)
\n• Holiday work may be required depending on unit needs
\n• Patient ratio of 1:6 on 33-bed unit with all private rooms
\n• EPIC experience required
\n• Must have experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps
\n• BLS (AHA) certification required
\n• Must wear royal blue scrubs (scrub jackets optional but must be royal blue if worn)
\n• Unexpired driver's license copy required with submission
\n• Care for patients with elective surgeries (hips, knees, shoulders), fractures from falls, back and neck neurosurgeries, and general medical-surgical conditions
\n• Manage IV fluids and PCA pumps (no heparin or other drips)
\n• Remote telemetry available if needed, monitored by third floor
\n• Floating required to any medical-surgical units as first priority
\n• Orientation includes 1 day EPIC training, 1 day floor orientation with preceptor, then independent practice on day 3
\n• May be called off for low census depending on contract terms

\nThis medical center operates a 33-bed orthopedic and neurology unit featuring all private rooms and comprehensive surgical services. The facility maintains 24/7 charge nurse coverage and employs patient care technicians to support nursing staff with vital signs, blood sugar monitoring, activities of daily living, and Foley catheter discontinuation. The organization uses EPIC charting system and provides respiratory therapy services including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen management.
