We are seeking a skilled and dependable Low Voltage Electrician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. This position involves working with structured cabling, alarm systems, building automation, and control wiring. The ideal candidate will have experience with conduit installation, device terminations, and system startups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, route, and terminate low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, coax, etc.)

  • Install and bend EMT, rigid, and flexible conduit for control and communication systems.

  • Terminate and test devices such as sensors, switches, access panels, detectors, control panels, etc.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and technical schematics.

  • Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on job sites.

  • Perform functional testing, inspections, and system verifications.

  • Maintain clean and organized job sites and accurately document work progress.

  • Ensure installations comply with local codes, NEC, and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; technical school or apprenticeship preferred.

  • 2–5 years of experience in low voltage electrical work.

  • Familiar with NEC and local electrical codes.

  • Experience installing and working with conduit systems.

  • Ability to read construction drawings and schematics.

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

  • Fire Alarm License preferred.

  • NICET Level I or II certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.

Preferred Experience:

  • Fire Alarm Systems (e.g., Notifier, Edwards, Simplex)

  • Building Automation Systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Trane, Carrier)

  • Security, CCTV, and Access Control

  • Fiber Optic Cabling and Termination

  • Basic computer literacy for documentation and device configuration

Working Conditions:

  • Job sites include indoor and outdoor environments.

  • May involve lifting up to 50-70 lbs, ladder use, confined spaces, and overhead work.

  • Travel to various job sites required.
