The Home Improvement retail landscape is constantly evolving, and at Emerald Executives, we're committed to staying ahead of the curve. Our team of experts is always on the lookout for the latest trends, technologies, and strategies that can help our clients stay competitive. From omnichannel marketing to data-driven sales insights, we're passionate about delivering innovative solutions that drive results.

Looking for a career path that combines sales, business acumen, and home improvement expertise? Our Business Sales Trainee program is designed to develop the next generation of sales leaders. You'll work closely with experienced sales professionals to learn the ins and outs of B2B sales and develop a deep understanding of the home improvement industry. If you’re ready to make an impact where it matters most, we are your launchpad!

Core Duties:

The role of a Business Sales Trainee is to assist senior management with the following:

  • Develop and implement effective B2B sales strategies to identify, engage, and close new business opportunities within the home improvement sector, ensuring a deep understanding of client needs and market dynamics.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, contractors, and suppliers, by providing exceptional service and tailored solutions that drive mutual growth.
  • Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales quotas and performance metrics, contributing significantly to the overall revenue growth of the company.
  • Proactively research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and challenges, informing sales strategies and product development.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition of HI RETAIL's offerings, demonstrating how our solutions can meet specific client objectives.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for both Emerald Executives and the client, and meticulously manage the sales cycle from lead generation to successful deal closure.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive approach to client satisfaction and to leverage internal expertise for sales success.
  • Offer ongoing support and follow-up to clients after the sale, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Qualifications:

Business Sales Trainees are required to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven interest in sales, business development, or the home improvement industry, demonstrated through academic projects, internships, or previous work experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of understanding complex business challenges and proposing effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong desire to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and Business Sales Trainee gatherings.

Possessing these attributes is highly beneficial:

  • Prior experience as a Business Sales Trainee or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Understanding of home improvement products, services, or market dynamics.

Please Note: This role operates on a commission-only structure. Top performers benefit from unlimited earning opportunities based on individual results.
