Job Summary
Promotes, maintains, and restores patient health by conducting physical examinations, tests, and interviews; observing patient; analyzing treatment options based on the meridian system, special and extra loci, and auriculotherapy; determining appropriate treatments to achieve balance; applying needling techniques, moxibustion, electroacupuncture, and acupressure.

Essential Functions
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree related field of study required or Masters Degree related field of study preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes.
Licenses and Credentials: Acupuncturist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required. Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred.
Experience: Experience practicing acupuncture 2-3 years required and experience providing acupuncture in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, community health center, pain clinic or other integrative health care setting 2-3 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge of acupuncture theory, anatomy and physiology. Demonstrated ability to make appropriate judgments of the patient to provide safe acupuncture. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served on assigned units. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with varied populations. Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team. High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations. Must carry professional liability insurance.
