Job Description

Were looking for a mid-level Web Designer who can bring together UX thinking, strong visual design, and polished UI execution. This role starts as a freelance engagement with the potential to move into a full-time position for the right fit. Youll work on web projects that demand both strategic problem-solving and refined design craft with opportunities to contribute motion, animation, and prototyping skills to bring ideas to life. The Ideal Candidate Has: A strong design aesthetic and a portfolio that shows clean, thoughtful UI work A solid grasp of UX principles (formal research experience not required, but you should understand best practices) Experience creating responsive web designs and working within design systems Proficiency in Figma (and bonus points for motion tools like After Effects, Principle, or Lottie) Ability to create interactive prototypes to communicate ideas An eye for detail and the ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality Comfortable collaborating with developers, strategists, and other designers Nice-to-Haves: Motion/animation skills to enhance UI interactions Experience in prototyping tools beyond Figma (Framer, ProtoPie, etc.) Familiarity with component-based design and accessibility considerations Details: Type: Freelance to potential full-time Level: Mid-level Start Date: ASAP Location: New York, NY (Remote) If youve got a mix of design craft, UX understanding, and a little motion magic , wed love to see your work!
