Description
We are seeking an experienced waterproofing and deck coatings tradesperson to join our reconstruction team. As a waterproofing professional, you will play a crucial role on various projects, from residential homes to commercial buildings, applying your skills in waterproofing, carpentry and finishing. Our ideal candidate should have a strong background in waterproofing, carpentry with an understanding of building codes and safety regulations. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, from reconstructing frameworks, applying specialty deck coatings to finishing surfaces with precision and craftsmanship. This position requires a commitment to quality and attention to detail. Experience in both waterproofing and carpentry are essential, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with team members. Responsibilities
Rebuild or repair balcony or deck structures with wood, plywood, and deck coating products and using hand and power tools.
Follow scope of work specifications and planning work.
Measure, cut, and shape wood, fiberglass and other deck coating materials using various tools and equipment.
Experience removing and installing windows and doors, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
Finish waterproofing of decks and patios and other structures.
Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety compliance.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion within timelines and budgets.
Requirements
Proven experience as a carpenter, waterproofing tradesman with a minimum of 2 - 3 years in the field.
In-depth knowledge of building materials and construction processes.
Familiarity with hand and power tools used in carpentry.
Excellent physical condition and strength, able to lift heavy materials.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
