• Location: Munster, Indiana (zip 46321) – Indiana nursing jobs\n
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit (CV IMCU)\n
• Assignment Length: 8-week travel contract (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 1/26/2026)\n
• Nursing Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:30)\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880 - $2020\n
• Patient Ratio: 1:4\n
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n
• Charting System: EPIC\n
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown or Cardiovascular Intermediate Care nursing experience (first-time travelers considered with 3+ years of experience)\n
• Active Indiana RN license or compact nursing license\n
• Prior travel nursing experience required\n
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)\n
• Must pass onsite EKG exam (study guides provided)\n
• EPIC charting experience required\n
• Omnicell experience required\n
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical exemptions only)\n
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed\n
• Maximum 5 days of requested time off per contract; no time off allowed during Christmas week (12/21–12/27)\n

\n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions (CHF, COPD, MI, angina, arrhythmias, post-surgical CV, trachs, post-MI, post-cardiac cath, renal failure, and more)\n
• Administer blood products, cardiac drips (no titration), and vasoactive drips\n
• Perform central and peripheral line care, chest tube management, wound care, and tracheostomy care\n
• Interpret dysrhythmias and provide telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)\n
• Manage feeding tubes, surgical drains, and oxygen therapy (high-flow nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP)\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, rapid response)\n
• Float to other units (IMCU, Med/Surg, ICU) as needed based on census and acuity\n
• Complete required modules and orientation (up to 26 hours)\n
