Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 18 months of permanent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is based in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Care for adult patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry level care
• Work schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts with day/night rotation (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am); shift may be variable based on hospital needs
• Must work at least every other holiday as part of the schedule
• Orientation includes completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments
• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Participation in annual and pre-start modules is required
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return for one year from previous end date
• Must complete onsite badging and fingerprinting prior to start date
• NICOTINE screening not currently enforced for RN travelers
• Both local and travel candidates are accepted at the same bill rate

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active, permanent OH RN license or compact license at time of consideration
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Tele specialty experience prior to travel assignments
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required and active at time of consideration
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• No open background check cases or license hits accepted
