American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring Epic experience and strong cardiac skills in Oklahoma.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of an acute care Level 3 Trauma Center
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 18:30-07:00) with required weekend coverage (3 weekend shifts per 6 weeks)
  • Patient ratios are typically 1:5, with a chance for 1:6-7
  • Patients may include those with cardiac conditions, altered mental status, CHF, stroke, ortho, surgical cases, DKA, and infections
  • Care for patients with mental health diagnoses as needed
  • EMR is Epic and prior Epic experience is required
  • Floating within scope to other units may be required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Locals are accepted
  • Responsibilities include managing Med/Surg Tele patients with a focus on cardiac and high-acuity medical cases
  • No block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accommodated
  • Scrub color varies by unit
  • No first-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Holiday time off is not permitted, and no more than 5 days of requested time off are allowed per 13-week contract; no additional RTO allowed after contract start
  • Attendance policy allows two missed shifts per year before warnings and potential cancellation
  • Free parking is available

  • Active OK or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years recent hospital experience required
  • Must have successfully completed at least two travel assignments without performance or attendance issues
  • Cardiac care competency with self-rating of 3 or above and basic dysrhythmia training preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required, with recent use preferred
  • No background check issues permitted
