In search of Part Time TPI certified Personal Trainer. Must have a can-do attitude, great customer service skills, and a desire to enhance the fitness and wellness of our members and their guests! Background working in a Fitness/Wellness environment a plus! Summary Responsible for the activity of members and guests on the Fitness floor. The primary responsibility is to create a safe environment for the members by ensuring initial screening through the health history questionnaire, proper use of equipment through an orientation or training session, and proper maintenance of the equipment. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities : 1) Provides outstanding service to our members and their guests in a professional and courteous manner. 2) Manages scheduling of personal clientele lessons. 3) Administers fitness assessments, develops exercise prescriptions and provides individual training for members and guests while using proper filing systems. 4) Obtains medical clearance from physician or therapist for members prior to training. 5) Provides orientation to new members. Screens new members and guests as to health history. 6) Enforces Club Rules & Regulations and proper etiquette is adhered to by members and guests. 7) Keeps fitness equipment clean, lubricated and in good working condition. 8) Assists with opening and closing procedures and answering the phones, when needed. 9) Ensures supplies such as towels, water cups, and disinfecting wipes are well stocked for fitness center. 10) Attends regularly scheduled meetings. 11) Wears distributed attire and maintains the look and feel of a fitness coach and knowledge of an educator. Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations TPI, NSCA, ACSM, AFAA, NASM or Nationally recognized Personal Trainer Certification CPR/AED and First Aid.
