Job Summary
We are seeking a Tile Setter (Professional Tiler) . You will measure and mark surfaces for tiling, plan the layout for the best pattern, and set tiles using proper tools. The best candidate has prior construction or tile experience, great attention to detail, and good customer service skills.

• Measure and evaluate the area for tile to determine appropriate placement and sizing
• Lay tiles in desired pattern, using reference photos
• Dry lay tiles for fit and mix tiles from different cases
• Plan how tile will be laid across rooms, and measure for thresholds and saddles as appropriate
• Mark and prepare the tile surface or subfloor to be flat, solid, and clean of debris
• Install soundproofing and/or waterproof coating for floors
• Identify and start tiling from the most appropriate focal point
• Apply thinset with an appropriately-sized notched trowel and press the tiles into place
• Use spacers and levelers to create uniform grout lines (e.g. 2-part leveling system with clips and wedges)
• Measure and cut tiles with appropriate tools, such as a wet saw and/or tile nippers
• Mix and apply grout evenly and fully into the grout lines, keeping the it level without any pits or low spots
• Remove excess grout from the tile surface cleanly
• Use straightedges, levels, and squares as applicable
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all standard safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment

• Familiarity with porcelain floor tile, as well as different tile shapes, sizes and patterns is preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong eye for design
• Professional, able to meet deadlines, and committed to honest communication
