Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a K-12 school setting. This contract position, based in Minden, LA, offers an excellent opportunity to work within an educational environment for the entire school year.

Responsibilities:

• Assist certified speech-language pathologists in delivering speech and language therapy services to students.
• Implement treatment plans and therapy activities designed to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor and document student progress accurately and report findings.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid SLPA certification or licensure as required by the state.
• Experience working with school-aged children in speech-language services preferred.
• Knowledge of speech and language disorders common in a K-12 environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and work under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
