Job Description
We are looking for a long-term, energetic and reliable employee to join our growing manufacturing business. We specialize in graphite machining - NC Surface grinding (not hand grinding), band saw cutting, 3D CNC milled electrodes, sanding, etc. We will train the right applicant.
Job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
· Helping to maintain a clean shop environment, as best as possible
· Being an "extra set of hands" for lifting heavy material, moving large parts that require more than one person.
· Saw cutting, grinding, sanding
A few of the qualifications we require:
· Must be able to follow directions
· Must be punctual and able to work a minimum of 40 hours a week
· Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
· Able to wear a respirator, hearing protection, and eye protection
· Can focus on the task at hand without distraction
· Maintain safe standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
· Must be able to read, write and speak English
· Must be good with math
Experience that is appreciated but not required:
· Forklift operation
· Blueprint reading
· Any type of hands-on work experience
· Knowledge of micrometers, calipers and indicators
· Ability to read a tape measure
The shop environment is dusty, noisy and occasionally hot so please be aware of these conditions before applying. You will get dirty, but we do provide uniforms, nitrile gloves and washing stations.
