The Senior Sterile Processing Technician manages the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies within a hospital Central Services environment. This role requires certification and several years of experience in sterile processing and materials management. It supports patient care by ensuring sterile surgical equipment is prepared and delivered efficiently for medical procedures.
Description
The Senior Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for all task-based Central Services activities. Central Services activities include, but are not limited to: decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, assembly and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and receiving and distribution of Central Services supplies.
