Become an EXpert as a Backend Developer (Java Spring Boot) – LATAM ONLY

At EX Squared LATAM, we're seeking a Backend Developer who thrives on building robust and scalable backend systems. This role is ideal for a highly skilled Java developer with deep experience in designing APIs, optimizing database interactions, and ensuring high code quality and application performance.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot .

• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs to support enterprise-grade applications.

• Contribute to Oracle database design and performance, including writing efficient PL/SQL queries.

• Apply software engineering best practices for unit testing , code quality , and application security .

• Use tools such as JUnit , Maven , Git , and static code analysis tools to ensure maintainable code.

• Participate in CI/CD workflows using tools like Jenkins , Datadog , and Splunk .

• Operate in Linux environments , contributing to application stability, deployment, and observability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to ensure seamless delivery.

What You'll Bring

• Reside in LATAM and have availability for remote collaboration.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of hands-on backend development with Java.

• English proficiency (C1 level) or higher for effective communication.

• Strong Java fundamentals: Collections, Lambdas, Functional Programming, error handling .

• Proven experience with Spring Boot , Spring MVC , and API architecture.

• Deep knowledge of design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory) and object-oriented design .

• Experience with JSON, XML , and SOAP using Java-native tools (e.g., JAXP, DOM).

• Advanced skills in Oracle PL/SQL , stored procedures, and query optimization.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Git , Maven , and centralized logging tools.

• Exposure to static code analysis and secure coding practices.

• Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments .

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have :

• Experience or familiarity with React or modern frontend frameworks.

• Exposure to the engineering or manufacturing industry .
