Robotics Technician | Coopersville, MI

Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial robotic systems and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues in robotic cells.
• Program and reprogram industrial robots for new tasks, path adjustments, and process optimization.
• Calibrate robotic arms and end-effectors to ensure precision and accuracy in manufacturing operations.
• Install, set up, and commission new robotic equipment and integrated automation solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections and performance testing of robotic systems to identify potential failures.
• Document maintenance activities, repair procedures, and system configurations accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of PLC logic and controls for automated systems.
• Ability to perform teach pendant programming and adjustments for robot path, speed, and tooling.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++ for advanced scripting and data analysis.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical understanding and fixture design.
• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
