Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing production processes, ensuring timely delivery of products, and maintaining efficient supply chain operations. Duties - Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure materials are available for production runs.
- Utilize ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, and other MRP tools to plan, monitor, and adjust production schedules.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste within the production process.
- Conduct demand planning and forecasting activities to anticipate future production needs accurately.
- Monitor inventory management and control processes to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to align production plans with overall business objectives.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Prepare reports on production schedules, inventory status, and capacity utilization for management review.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all scheduling activities.
Qualifications - Proven experience in supply chain management, production planning, or manufacturing scheduling.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle; familiarity with MRP modules is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, demand planning, forecasting, and inventory control.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and presenting reports clearly.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
