Phlebotomist - Rover at Labcorp summary:

The Phlebotomist - Rover at LabCorp is responsible for performing blood specimen collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques across multiple client sites. The role includes data entry, specimen preparation, billing processes, and providing excellent customer service while traveling between locations. Candidates must have phlebotomy certification or experience and be able to work independently with flexible scheduling requirements.

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist - Rover to work in client offices. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Work Schedule: Your planned work schedule will be roving between locations/hours Monday - Friday. The hours/location may change/vary based on business need and/or the request(s) of your supervisor or management. The current schedule is:

• This position crosses two locations in one day:

  • Site 1 - Louisville - Monday 8:30am – 4:30pm

  • Site 2 - Louisville Tuesday - Thursday 8:30 - 4:30pm

  • Friday is rotational at Sites 1 and 2 9:00am - 2:00pm

Work Location: Louisville, Kentucky

PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Process billing information and collect payments when required

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs

• Provide superior customer service to all patients

• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

• Travel to additional sites when needed

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Reliable transportation required

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

• 2+ years of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab environment is highly preferred
