The Phlebotomist at Labcorp performs skilled blood specimen collections from patients of all ages, ensuring accurate data entry and specimen preparation. They provide exceptional customer service while handling administrative tasks and traveling to various sites as needed. The role requires certification or training in phlebotomy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a patient service center. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-5pm
Work Location: Lewisburg, TN
Job Responsibilities:
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
Collection of pediatric patients and adults
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required
Preferred 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation required
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
