WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’re a specialist with a keen eye for removing burrs from machined parts and preparing parts for finished products.

• Deburr and clean machined parts to company standards

• Use a variety of basic hand tools and equipment to prepare parts for further processing, including, but not limited to, Sweco vibrating tub, Baldor bench grinder, down draft deburr bench, wash tank, disc sander, rotary file, hand file, sand deburring tools, and air hose
• Partially dismantle equipment and tools, and perform clean-up and minor maintenance
• Lift and move lightweight to moderate-weight objects
• Inspect parts to operational requirements
• Responsible for completing work orders and reporting labor hours worked and pieces completed
• Keep the work area clean and orderly
• Operate forklift
• Communicate production status to supervisor and to shift personnel as required to assure any problems and/or schedules are understood

YOUR EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to attain and maintain a forklift license
• Ability to interpret written instructions and specifications
• Must be flexible to perform a variety of assignments and adapt to changing conditions
• Ability to work well with others
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed

REPORTS TO: Assistant Manufacturing Manager

SHIFT TYPE: Monday–Thursday (4-10s)

SALARY GRADE: 10
