Job Summary: This position will assist in the assembly, fabrication and weld preparation of Arrowhead Products metal ducting systems. It is a combination of the following jobs: CNC Lathe or CNC Mill Setup Specialist, Journeyman Machinist, or Tool Maker Specialist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Will perform close tolerance set-ups of CNC Lathes/Mills, Conventional Lathes/Mills and other Machine Shop Equipment to obtain maximum work output from machines while holding dimensional tolerances.

\n - Will validate and optimize new CNC programs.
\n - Will suggest improvements to old CNC programs (i.e. continuous improvement).
\n - Will be capable of starting a tool and completing it to final approval.
\n - Will perform grinding of own form tools.
\n - Will perform close-tolerance set-up and operation of all necessary equipment such as; tool grinders, surface grinders, drill presses, pedestal grinders, power saws, arbor pressses, mills, lathes, rotary table, optical comparator and any other necessary machine shop equipment.
\n - Will be reponsible for obtaining maximum work output from all machinery & equipment used.
\n - Will perform receiving, issuing, checking, recording, storing & performing related functions necessary for control of inventory
\n - Will perform typical layout operations with other work described herin, such as : Layout detail of tools or dies as related to machine or other tool fabrication; layout parts such as raw castings, forging and sheet metal parts to use as a guide in making tool or die.
\n - Will perform all fabrication, to exacting tolerances, tools & dies such as: Class "A" jigs and fixtures, drill jigs, check fixtrues, dies for sheet metal parts, progressive or compound dies, form and draw dies.
\n - Proves dies and tooling and performs rework on the same level of difficulty as other work described herein.
\n - Will perform all necessary sequences of operations and complete layout involving rotary tables, compound angles, exacting tolerances, etc.
\n - Will maintain and verify records of all tooling location within the area.
\n - Will maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, FOD-free fashion and adhere to all Safety standards

Specialist level will require the following:
- Responsible for assisting the department in the development of techniques to increase productivity, quality, and throughput of products and to share job knowledge in the department.

Education and Experience: \n - HS Diploma or its equivalent; previous experience may be substituted for education requirement.
\n - Previous sheet metal fabrication and/or manufacturing work experience preferred.
\n - *Employees must bid into these classifications before progression is allowed to higher levels.
\n - **Progression/Bid into Specialist positions requires 3 years minimum in the preceding classification, in the same family, prior to progression/bid

\n - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; including production control and other production/engineering documentation.
\n - Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders and production planing documents.
\n - Ability to use standard manufacturing measuring instruments such as calipers, pin calipers, micrometers, tape measures, scales, height gauges, depth gauges, etc.
\n - Must be capable of working with tight tolerances such as + or - .001".
\n - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
\n - Ability to perform quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
