The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Family Medicine Center provides patient care based on developmental needs and hospital policies, working under the supervision of an RN or provider. Responsibilities include patient assessment, pain management education, monitoring patient condition, medication administration, and equipment maintenance. The role requires current New York State Practical Nursing Registration and CPR certification for full-time day shifts.
The LPN provides care to patients in accordance with their developmental needs, following the standards of the Department of Nursing and in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.
