Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cable Installer Technician to join our field team. The technician will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining low voltage systems including:
Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic)
Security and CCTV systems
Access control and alarm wiring
Audio/visual and paging systems
Data racks and patch panels
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings
Pull, terminate, and test cables
Mount and install low voltage devices and equipment
Ensure jobs are completed on time and within standards
Troubleshoot and repair cable and connectivity issues
Maintain a clean and organized job site
Communicate with clients and team members professionally
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in low voltage cable installation
Working knowledge of TIA/EIA standards and cable certification tools
Ability to work independently or with a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
Preferred Qualifications:
BICSI Installer or Technician Certification
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
Experience with fiber optic splicing and testing
Familiarity with Fluke cable testers
