Position Overview

My client is seeking an Associateto join their team, supporting their M&A advisory practices. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial analysis skills with a passionate understanding of the digital entertainment landscape. This role offers unique exposure to high-growth companies and strategic transactions in one of technology's most dynamic sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analysis for potential investment opportunities and M&A transactions
• Perform detailed market research and competitive analysis within the digital entertainment sector, including gaming, esports, streaming platforms, and content creation
• Create detailed investment memoranda and transaction materials, synthesizing complex business models and market dynamics
• Support due diligence processes for both investment opportunities and M&A clients
• Develop industry-specific KPI analysis frameworks focusing on user acquisition, engagement metrics, and monetization strategies
• Prepare client presentations and pitch materials for both investment committees and potential M&A opportunities
• Monitor industry trends, emerging business models, and relevant transactions in the digital entertainment space
• Assist in relationship management with portfolio companies and potential acquisition targets

Qualifications

• No STEM OPT, H1Bs transfer on a case by case basis
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development
• Deep passion for and immersion in the digital entertainment industry required
• Demonstrated hands-on engagement with gaming, esports, or digital media platforms
• Strong understanding of current industry trends, business models, and market dynamics
• Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills
• Superior analytical and quantitative capabilities
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency
• Experience with capital markets and M&A databases (e.g., PitchBook, CapIQ)
• Knowledge of industry-specific metrics and KPIs
• PowerPoint expertise for creating compelling presentations
