Description We are looking for motivated 0-3 year JDs / associate attorneys to join a well-established regional law firm in Phoenix, Arizona. This position offers an excellent opportunity for attorneys or law clerks with up to three years of experience to grow their careers in insurance defense litigation. With a hybrid schedule that includes remote work flexibility, this role fosters growth and development in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: - Assist in handling insurance defense litigation cases from start to finish under supervision. - Draft legal motions, briefs, and other relevant court documents. - Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments. - Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and document requests. - Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial preparation. - Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required. - Maintain organized case files and ensure timely communication with clients. - Stay informed about relevant legal regulations and changes impacting insurance defense litigation. - Participate in team meetings to discuss case updates and coordinate efforts. Requirements - Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active licensure to practice law in Arizona or eligibility for licensure. Open to candidate who have just written the July AZ State Bar Exam. - Up to three years of experience in civil litigation or related legal work. - Strong skills in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents. - Familiarity with discovery processes and insurance defense litigation. - Ability to conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. - Willingness to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
