Job Description - About the Job:

Reporting to the Area Coach, the Restaurant General Manager manages a Taco Bell restaurant to ensure customer satisfaction and profit maximization. The RGM performs hands-on work to train employees, respond to customer needs, and model appropriate behaviors. This role provides leadership by building a culture of recognition and motivating the team towards operational excellence.

The Day-to-Day: Build People Capability

  1. Drive culture, problem solve, resolve conflicts, communicate, and motivate to achieve results
  2. Recruit and develop high-quality operators to deliver excellent customer experiences
  3. Build a strong team of Managers and Team Members
  4. Lead performance management processes
  5. Lead by example and embody Taco Bell HUNGRY principles: Hungry, Understanding, Never Follow, Grateful, Relentless, Youthful
  6. Leverage culture and people capability to enhance brand performance
  7. Provide leadership and coaching to Managers and Team Members

Deliver a Consistent Customer Experience

  1. Execute marketing programs effectively
  2. Maintain a safe environment for staff and customers
  3. Manage daily operations, including scheduling and inventory, for a restaurant with $1.0m - $2.0m annual sales and 500-800 transactions daily
  4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies
  5. Resolve customer issues and train managers to meet service standards
  6. Use customer feedback to improve experience and meet satisfaction targets
  7. Analyze complaints and implement solutions
  8. Monitor Speed with Service performance and coach teams accordingly

Grow the Brand, Sales, and Profits

  1. Manage Profit & Loss through cash control, inventory, labor, and financial review
  2. Oversee maintenance and facility upgrades
  3. Analyze sales and operational data to meet financial targets
  4. Develop and execute Annual Operating Plans

Minimum Requirements: Is This You?

  1. High School diploma required; University degree preferred
  2. 2-4 years of operational management experience in QSR or retail, including P&L responsibility
  3. Basic business math and analytical skills
  4. Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  5. Excellent communication and team-building skills
  6. Basic computer literacy
  7. Passion for quality food, service, cleanliness, and speed
  8. Energetic, positive leadership, proactive and ethical
  9. Proven success in hiring, coaching, and developing managers
  10. Ability to drive customer satisfaction and financial performance
