Position Type: Locum | CRNA – Anesthesia
Overview
Exciting locum opportunity for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in a hospital-based setting with flexible shift options. Providers must be comfortable floating between two sites and working within a collaborative supervised care model.
Practice Highlights
Float between two locations (typically informed the day before if reassigned)
Shifts: 8s or 10s (most common), open to 12s, 16s, or 24s
Later shifts (3 p.m.–11 p.m.) and weekends available
40-hour guarantee available
Case mix: Primarily neuro, endoscopy, radiology
No heart cases
Limited pediatric cases, mostly standard procedures
36–46 total cases/day across both sites (15–20 per site)
Supervised CRNA model (4:1 ratio) ; most physicians handle their own blocks/regionals
CRNAs place their own arterial lines
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days
No reimbursement for background check or credentialing/application fees
Candidate Requirements
Board Certified CRNA – REQUIRED
Active Michigan License – REQUIRED
Clean background – REQUIRED (no license actions)
ACLS & BLS (AHA) – REQUIRED
PALS – REQUIRED
Flu vaccine or medical exemption – REQUIRED
Friday availability REQUIRED for temp privilege consideration
Local candidates strongly preferred (must accept mileage-only reimbursement or all-inclusive rate)
Any time-off requests must be declared upfront
Schedule & Coverage
Shifts: 8s, 10s, 12s, 16s, or 24s (flexible)
Full-time coverage strongly preferred
Evening and weekend coverage available
40-hour guarantee optional
