Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager
Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager for clients with annual revenue $100MM to $2B supporting the West market as part of the Commercial Bank.
In this role, you will:
- Research complex credit investigations and diverse credit information for loans
- Identify opportunity for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional area
- Review and identify basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives while exercising independent judgement to guide medium risk deliverables
- Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders including internal as well as external customers
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with complex credit, underwriting, and debt structure for clients with annual revenue of $100MM to $2B
- Completion of a formal credit training program
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience as a commercial banking Portfolio Manager, with a focus on Middle Market C&I, Commercial Real Estate, and Investor Real Estate.
- Strong expertise in loan origination, portfolio monitoring, financial modeling, credit underwriting, and risk analysis for complex commercial businesses.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, banking regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with the Banks software and credit risk management tools.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.

Pay Range:
- Dallas - Texas Pay Range: $77,000 - $121,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)
- Minneapolis - Minnesota Pay Range: $85,000 - $133,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)
- Los Angeles - California Pay Range: $92,000 - $145,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)
- San Francisco - California Pay Range: $92,000 - $145,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)
