The Buyer is responsible for managing the full supply chain lifecycle for assigned food and beverage commodities. This includes strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and operational procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality procurement and demonstrate strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and supplier selection for food and beverage categories.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals.
• Conduct bid analysis with a focus on total cost of ownership.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and deliver procurement solutions.
• Utilize procurement software (e.g., Stratton Warren, Excel) for bid input, PO creation, and inventory management.
• Provide rapid problem-solving and decision-making support in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and hospitality standards.

Required Skills

• Buying and procurement expertise, especially in food and beverage.
• Contractor and vendor management.
• Point of contact (POC) coordination.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
• Experience with Stratton Warren inventory system.
• Knowledge of financial and cost management principles.
• Ability to develop long-range commodity and category plans.
• Experience presenting procurement strategies and reports to leadership.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-pressure hospitality environment.

Work Environment

• Must be able to move freely around the office and property.
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
• Exposure to environmental factors such as noise, dust, and smoke.
• Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and access computer systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
