Job Description

HH Red Stone is a rapidly expanding Property Management Company. We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team in Kansas City, MO. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is resourceful, detail-oriented, a team player, and skilled at developing top performers.

Summary: As an Assistant Property Manager, you will assist the Property Manager in overseeing all aspects of Property Operations, including Leasing, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Service Requests, and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor collections, accept and post rental payments to resident ledgers, enforce collection policies based on the Lease Agreement, and initiate legal action when necessary.
  • Perform the entire cycle of apartment leasing duties, which includes giving tours to prospective residents, executing lease paperwork, processing applications, following up with applicants, and maintaining records to the required standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and professionally to resident concerns, and actively participate in conflict resolution efforts to maintain positive resident relations.
  • Act as the Property Manager in the absence of the Manager for designated periods.
  • Assist the Property Manager in all aspects of residential management, including service requests, maintaining physical asset standards, financial accounting and reporting, and resident relations.
  • Collaborate with the Leasing Team to coordinate resident retention efforts.
  • Monitor the flow of accounts payable from purchase orders to invoices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain prior to interacting with prospective residents.
  • Required computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Property Management Software (OneSite/Real Page preferred).
  • Other required skills:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Customer Service or
  • 1-3 years of experience in Residential Property Management
