Adjunct Clinical Faculty

The New England School of Acupuncture seeks adjunct clinical faculty to deliver high quality clinical supervision and evaluation for our externship clinic at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial VA Hospital in Bedford, MA. The selected candidate will have responsibilities supervising graduate student interns at this clinical placement. Supervision of the care of patients will include overseeing diagnosis and treatment planning, professionalism, charting, point location, needling, and palpatory skills. Clinical Faculty are hired by the semester: Fall is September-December, Spring is January-April, Summer is mid-May-early August.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering supervision at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial VA Hospital and providing experiential clinical instruction in person.
• Providing an engaging active learning environment for students.
• Providing students with periodic informal as well as formal evaluations of their progress toward meeting placement objectives.
• Applying grading policies fairly and consistently.
• Adhering to preceptor guidelines, provided by the Director of Clinical Education, which include placement objectives and learning outcomes, supervision methodology, attendance policies in line with those of MCPHS, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria.
• When requested, using the University's learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students.
• Providing services related to student mentoring, ongoing placement development, and assessment.
• Maintaining all credentialing required by the placement setting, and complying with all placement setting onboarding and training requirements.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Clinical Education.
